This Memorial Day weekend our family got the great pleasure of going out of town and staying at a swanky resort. Okay, it was only to Chandler and it was at Jamey and Tara's house, but it was better then any resort I have ever stayed at. We went over there on Sunday night and played games until early in the morning. The kids actually stayed up the whole time and we kept waiting for them to all pass out, but they just kept going. They out lasted us old folks. Grandpa Ron was generous enough to volunteer to sleep on a cot next to the tent that all the cousins were sleeping in. The tent was in Jamey and Tara's yard, but the kids didn't know any different. They had a blast. The next day we got up early (too early considering what time the kids fell asleep) and went for a hike in the San Tan Mountains. After that we went back to their house and cooked up a great feast of BBQ and other delicious foods. We just ate and went swimming until we couldn't stand-up any longer. The kids were all worn out and we were able to return home full, tan, and happy. Thanks Jamey and Tara for a GREAT weekend. We loved Resort al la Carpenter and can't wait to stay there again. I might even tip the maid next time.

What did you think about the hike in the San Tans? We went out there once but I think we went to the wrong place because it was dumb. I love the picture of the kids peering through the pool fence! :)
